Our story

Why we started

Below is a revised version written in a clear, corporate tone that aligns well with what large international retailers such as H&M typically look for: structured background, problem–solution logic, scalability, and post-pandemic resilience.

Founded in 2010, OUKA initially operated as a textile and fabric supplier, working closely with manufacturers across Asia. During our early years, we frequently encountered inquiries from emerging brands and smaller clients whose order volumes did not meet factory minimum order quantities. While demand was strong, producing very small batches at scale was not commercially viable, which limited our ability to support these customers despite clear market need.

To address this gap, we invested significant time in direct communication with clients, developing a more consultative and service-oriented approach. This experience highlighted the importance of being closer to the market—understanding trends earlier, responding faster, and offering more flexible sourcing solutions.

In 2019, we established OUKA London as a strategic step to strengthen customer engagement, improve trend intelligence, and increase service efficiency. During and after the COVID-19 pandemic, in line with the group’s broader business direction, we expanded into fashion accessories and jewellery, focusing on online retail and small-to-medium batch production. This transition proved successful, and we secured placements on several high-end UK e-commerce platforms, validating both our product strategy and operational model.

Today, our business spans textiles, fashion accessories, and jewellery, serving independent fashion brands, established companies, and e-commerce retailers. We combine an ethical and reliable Asian supply chain with a UK-based commercial presence, enabling flexible production, consistent quality, and scalable delivery.

What we do

We operate a strict quality control and inspection system across all product categories. Working closely with long-standing partner factories and pearl farms, many of which we have collaborated with for over 20 years, we ensure consistent standards in materials, workmanship, and finished products.

Our established relationships and streamlined coordination allow us to support fast turnaround times and small-batch production, enabling customers to respond efficiently to market demand while maintaining reliable quality.

Who we are

Ouka is headquartered in Zhejiang, China, close to Shanghai, where we have both our factory and headquarter.

 

All manufacturing processes and working conditions are carefully monitored, it is also environmentally conscious. We offer most of the environmental certifications.
